Polite

I wonder, what would happen if people would teach their kids politeness by being polite to and in front of them?

I mean, how hard is it to say Thank You, Please and You're Welcome every day, whenever you talk to somebody be it face to face, on the phone or via e-mail? For goodness sake, all you need to do is make up your mind and do it.

And kids are sponges ... they absorb that type of attitude. It becomes second nature without even trying. *sigh* It seems such an easy thing ... why oh why don't I see more of it?

the I want it now...never say thank you crowd is running amok! (sp?)

Personal responsiblity is no where to be seen.

We are so uncivilized...it's a sad thing.

what's so stinking hard about teaching common courtesy? It SHOULD be a part of every day life. Except for the evil people who had the service contract on my 'puter. They don't deserve courtesy

LOL

Yeah it's hard to keep up with the please and thank yous when faced with nasty service contracts LOL.

It seems to me that many people that I run into are on average decent but allow themselves to degenrate with manners 'cause everywhere they look... TV, Movies and even books it seems that manners are passe ... ugh I mean, honestly, when was the last time you watched a TV program and one of the characters actually said "bye" at the end of a phone conversation? Basic courtasy I would call that ... and now I'm running into more and more people on the phone who have adopted this rude (IMHO) policy.
